Here, JAY Z’s Life + Times catches up with Curren$y after a show in Chicago, as he and fellow Jet Life Recordings emcee Young Roddy spend two days recording 3 Piece Set, an EP for “Closed Sessions” at Soundscape Studios. After this weekend’s preview of “Get Lucky,” an irresistibly catchy cut from Daft Punk‘s forthcoming Random Access Memories, Pharrell sits down with Vice and The Creators Project to discuss the details of his work on the album. The iconic producer gives a dreamlike recount of approaching the group (who he casually refers to as ‘the Robots’), flying to Paris to exchange recent work, and ultimately, finding the creative synergy that led to the creation of the song. Random Access Memories is expected to release in the U.S. on May 21.

Brought to you by the man behind District 9, Neil Blomkamp, and starring the likes of Matt Damon and Oscar-winner Jodie Foster, ELYSIUM looks to be another must-see sci fi flick. The year is 2154, where an ultra wealthy upper-class lives in a space station orbiting the Earth, free of sickness, worry, or any need while the rest of the human population lives in poor, destitute conditions on the ruins that remain on the planet below.

The architecture and design of this future is very dope, props to Blomkamp’s camp.
